Update on NFFC Tokyo Disneyland Anniversary Celebration7/27/2007 3:08 AM ESTArigato (Thank you) to the many members who have expressed an interest in traveling to Japan to celebrate Tokyo Disneyland's 25th anniversary with the NFFC on April 15, 2008. Past anniversary celebrations at Tokyo Disneyland have been spectacular, and Disney's celebration, titled Unlock Your Dreams, promises to be no exception.
The NFFC first invited its members to come experience the silver anniversary celebration as a group over a year ago so that everyone would have ample time to make plans for the trip. (Remember, everyone who will be joining us in Tokyo is responsible for booking their own airfare and hotel accommodations.) Many people have taken advantage of the early invitation to find discounted room rates at hotels near the Tokyo Disney Resort. Most hotels adjacent to the Monorail are now sold out or are close to being sold out, and prices have gone much higher at the hotels closest to the Resort, so if you're thinking of joining us, don't wait too much longer to book your hotel reservations!
Thanks to the assistance of Dave Smith of the Disney Archives, the NFFC has been in touch with Tokyo Disneyland cast members. Representatives from the NFFC will be flying to Japan in October to meet with several of them, and at that meeting, they hope to find out what special arrangements may be possible, such as behind the scenes tours, group meals, guaranteed entry into the parks, special seating on the actual anniversary day, and group rates for multi-day park hopper tickets.
