Toon-Terrific! Classic Disney Cartoons To Be Screened at California Convention

5/24/2008 2:52 AM EST

The Walt Disney Company and its affiliates have won 15 Academy Awards for Best Animated Short Film, with 39 other cartoons having been nominated over the years.  In fact, Walt Disney won the category in 10 of the first 12 years.

Many of these cartoons represent significant technical advances in animation, while others are simply fun to watch.

Nine cartoons, spanning four decades, will be screened at this year's California Convention, with introductory commentary by David Pacheco, Creative Art Director for Walt Disney Art Classics.  As a Disney artist and animator since 1980, David has contributed to such films as The Fox and the Hound, Mickey's Christmas Carol, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and The Little Mermaid.  He has also served as art director for Disney Publishing.  Mr. Pacheco is widely recognized as having an extensive knowledge of Disney animation and characters.

Some of these shorts have not been seen in their original unedited versions since first being released.  This seminar will be informative as well as entertaining.  Join the Three Little Pigs, Humphrey the Bear, Chip 'n' Dale, Donald Duck, Goofy, and others for a fun trip down the red carpet.

Watch for more information about this seminar and other California Convention events on the NFFC website at www.nffc.org and in upcoming issues of the Fantasyline Express. A link to the Convention registration form is now available from the main page of the website.
